On the Water in Maine is the best, very personable, professional,attention to detail is fantastic, they make you feel secure in your decision to rent from them.

The property managers (Sara specifically) were very accommodating and helped resolve a WiFi issue on the first day. Although a router was replaced, the WiFi reception was still very poor and unreliable.

The pictures on the website are not a great representation of the house. The house is more charming in person and has much more space than you can see in the pictures. The kitchen was actually a pleasant surprise. While it is not new, it has great space. Anything a cook needs to prepare a meal can be found in one of the many cabinets.

This unique home was tranquil, beautifully decorated, and well appointed, beyond what was required. We absolutely adored the adirondack chairs and fire pit outside. The home was cozy, quiet, and private. Local shops were well within travel distance and with half a dozen restaurants easy to choose from. Eat in, or take out was a breeze! Having all the luxury needed as in a four star hotel. We really enjoyed having the firewood so easily accessible for those chilly nights. We were fortunate to have met the owners of this beautiful home and we're delighted with the hospitality shown to us. Thank you! This location was prime for us, as we were able to travel north and south to various points of interest. So many picture perfect mornings were enjoyed from those Adirondack chairs, sipping our coffee and taking in the majestic sunrise. If one is fortunate to stay at this location, you will find a guest sketchbook at your disposal, to share amongst the travelers before them. On the Water in Maine is very professionally run from the moment of inquiry to locking the rental door when you leave. I highly recommend this service.

Aerie Cottage is attractive, comfortable and well-equipped. I love the added feature of the gas (wood) stove in the living room. The separate TV room off the living room provides pleasant TV-watching space for those who'd rather look at a screen than the gorgeous view outside!

Everyone at "On the Water in Maine" has been great to work with. They were very hepful in answering questions, phone calls & emails. Whenever I left a message, they were retuned promptly. Great service, Thanks Justin & Team!

We loved the location and the view was amazing. We captured so many great sunset pictures. The cottage itself was great. We loved the way it was decorated and felt very comfortable there. The owners have thought of every convenience. We loved Turkey Cove Cottage so much that now we are looking to buy something very similar for ourselves!

Wonderful! Very responsive and friendly. If I was lucky enough to live in Maine, I'd be friendly all the time, too!!

The entire cottage was my favorite feature, soooo homey and quaint and welcoming! Spacious! Love the deck, the huge kitchen, huge washer/dryers...but best of all, the view from the main room and all of the windows looking out to the ocean and lush green yard...Just perfect. I haven't been that relaxed in YEARS.

You exceeded our expectations!

We stayed at "Rips View" early October and were delighted with the property and our stay. The home is beautiful and in a serene location which was exactly what we needed. The propety is so close to Boothbay Harbor and other places that we could just go back and forth and still be able to enjoy the healing serenity of it's location.

This was our second time working with On the Water in Maine. Both times we had excellent experience in reserving a rental. They are very good at responding to questions and making the vacation rental process hassle free and easy. But the good service doesn't stop there. Once on the property it is easy to check in and someone is always available to answer question and deal with problems. We had a problem with the toilet on a Sunday and called On the Water in Maine, they sent someone to fix the problem right away and were very nice about it. I will rent from them again and will highly recommend them to friends and family. The homes are exactly as pictured and even better in person.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bay Breeze. A beautiful house with nicely maintained grounds in a very private setting. Our dogs loved running around in the beautiful and fenced in back yard and exploring the grounds. The kitchen was my favorite part of the house and it had everything you needed to create a delicious meal for the whole family. The location was also a plus. Close to many restaurants and supermarkets and Shopping in towns of Camden and Rockland. We will definitely come back to this house again.

Your people at On the Water in Maine are the best. You responded quickly to a small,issue that came our way.

The Beachcomber is our favorite rental in all the years we have been vacationing in Maine.

Responsive, patient and helpful . Although we were ready to leave by 9:00 AM (long drive) it would be nice to have checkout at 11:00. Good for breakfast at owls head general store and get back to load car for long drive home. As currently constituted., the rental is essentially for 6 days...( arrive after 4 PM. leave before 10 AM....personally, I'd prefer to pay an additional fee for cleaning later if no new guests arriving immediately following our stay...in our case, late October. (ON THE WATER IN MAINE COMMENT: - Why didn't you call and ask us? As you pointed out, the property was vacant after you departed, we would have happily allowed you to stay longer. We just had no idea that you wanted to.)

Very well equipped. Pots and pans more than adequate and like new. Comfortable beds. Warm house even though temperatures dropped to 34 degrees. No lack of dishes and glasses. Very comfortable and cozy.

The staff at On the Water in Maine are professional, prompt, courteous and friendly. They were great to work with.

This is a great cottage. It is an "old" house with lots of the character that comes with one. It is in a great location, on the Damariscotta River. Easy walking to the town and to one of the best seafood markets we have ever found.

On the Water in Maine is the most professional rental service I have worked with. I appreciate the attention to detail: the booking process and payment procedure; communication between booking and arriving including "what to bring" lists; and information notebook at the rental site. I felt secure that if a problem where to arise it would be handled quickly. i have already recommended On the Water in Maine to others.

The Lightkeeper is a lovely home and was perfect for the two of us. The view is absolutely amazing looking directly into the harbor from the hilltop. Every thing we needed was supplied and in excellent working order. The decor of this home is very pleasing and the furniture comfortable. The kitchen is large and easy to navigate, cook and dine in. The location is peaceful and great for walks to the park or into Rockport. The central location on the coast makes it convenient for day trips in either direction.

We had very little contact with the agency because everything was spelled out on website and e-mails.

We could not have asked for a better location! The views were outstanding. Immediate vicinity perfect for walking and biking.

On the Water in Maine is a very well organized company. Our questions were answered as fast as we asked and then some. Information for everything you could think of was provided.

Grove Street Cottage was perfect for our visit to Maine. The house is a short walk to the town of Camden. Information packet in the house as well as the info when we checked in helped our stay be even more enjoyable. Loved the Unity Fair. Our one day with a downpour and flooding in the area, we found puzzles to spend our time and could still sit on the wonderful front porch! Our three couples were very comfortable there.

Working with On the Water in Maine was a pleasure. This was our first time renting through this company and if we have the opportunity we will use them again.

The view of the lake and surrounding area is AWESOME. The house is large and spacious and the location can't be beat.

This is the second time we've rented from On the Water in Maine. The first time, I was a bit dizzy with all the emails and instructions. We've never had such detailed communications with a rental agency before. This time, I was very grateful to be able to express some concerns and ask questions (by phone) about the property before we rented (we had a less-than-satisfactory experience last year from a VRBO rental, and were a bit wary.) This time, I was not taken by surprise at all the emails and reminders and I appreciated them. Also, during the week I did have one occasion to call about maintenance, and that was painless.

A wonderful house and spectacular setting! We especially enjoyed the spaciousness of the house -- plenty of room for folks to find a quiet corner or all gather in one room, whatever is desired. Many extra, unexpected touches made our stay a pleasure -- like two TVs, the gas stove that kept things cozy, so many bathrooms, and very comfortable couches and chairs--plenty of seating for all of us. Least favorite feature? The twin beds were uncomfortable.

The Fords (who own On the Water in Maine) are a great family to work with, very caring and helpful whether you need a fishing guide or a beauty salon they know the best I the area.

You can't beat sitting on a deck overlooking beautiful Penobscot Bay. And Camden offers so much to do , shopping, hiking, good restaurants, and not too far for day trips to Acadia, Bar Harbor to the north and Portland to the south.
