Awesome access to the beach and ocean. Great state park around the corner. Fresh lobster very near by to purchase. Loved the wifi! House was well stocked on necessary items.

We stayed at On The Water in Maine rental properties six or seven times over the past 8 years. It's always stellar service. For example, we had a mechanical issue with our rental boat this year. They had a mechanic on the pier within 45 min of my call. The boat needed to be taken to his shop for repairs. It was repaired and back at the pier before I woke up at 7 AM next morning. Amazing! Justin is on top of every detail and is at your service when needed. I wish there were rental agencies like On the Water in Maine at the other vacation areas we visit. Do yourself a favor and rent with them. They are experts and take the hassle out of renting a vacation home. We will use their services again without a doubt.

Stayed at Maitri House for one week in July 2016. It's great. Plenty of room and a very nice home. There are 2 bunk beds in one room, two queen beds each with a respective room (one of which has its own bathroom) and a master bedroom with a queen or king and a day bed. Large spacious living area and kitchen. Screened in porch and gameroom with table tennis and magnetic darts. Large deck overlooks the lake (deck needs refurbishing as it is very, very slippery when wet and prone to dispense splinters when dry). The lake is crystal clear with loons. There are very few homes on much of the lake and the shore is pine trees and rocky outcrops to the waters edge. Lake is great for kayaking, fishing, swimming, tubing, waterskiing, etc. There is a picnic area and walking trails on one part of the lake. Private location. Yet, only 5 min drive to Camden's shops and restaurants and you do not battle traffic getting into Camden coming from the West (unlike from the North or South). I would stay at this property again without hesitation. **ON THE WATER IN MAINE STAFF: The deck has been power washed to improve traction for the rental season 2017.

On the water in Maine was very thorough from the time we made our reservations to when we checked out.

Blue Glass Cottage was wonderfully kept and beautifully decorated. A vase of fresh flowers was a simple yet fabulous touch! The kitchen had everything we needed, which is a huge plus for a family that cooks!

Excellent! Very accommodating. Arrived during terrible thunderstorms and unusually cold temps. Justin sprang into action and got us two heaters for the guest cabin and boat house. Much appreciated!

Wonderful summer cabin on peaceful lake. Plenty of room for two families. Loved the Outdoor shower, indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit and float.

A great agency to work with and knew we could count on them if we needed anything at all.

We love staying at Washed Ashore. It had everything we needed and more. Love the outdoor shower after a day at the beach and the outdoor steamer for lobsters is the best!

As always, everything went easily and smoothly. There might be a better agency somewhere, but we doubt it. We have never come across a team that is as well organized, efficient and friendly. It is a great pleasure to have worked with you for five seasons, and we would not dream of trying anyone else.

Candy's Cove is a comfortable, welcoming place with outstanding views. All our friends felt comfortable and happy, and we did, too.

This was my second time at Seascape cottage, again it was very relaxing and we loved it!

Everyone at the agency was helpful and knowledgeable. Because the property wasn't rented the week after we were there, and we couldn't bear to leave, we arranged a couple extra nights to extend our time there. Phone calls were always answered or promptly returned. Staff was very friendly and pleasant.

The location of the property was the best! Whether sitting on the deck, out front at the table, or at the dining rm. table the view was outstanding. Going to sleep and waking up to the waves crashing on the rocks was so relaxing. Actually all features of the property were above and beyond. Every amenity was provided, the kitchen well stocked and the house was clean. We took advantage of some of the extra beach chairs and toys. A wonderful time was had by all!

Staff was helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and competent. They communicated frequently and kept us informed.

A large, charming 6 bedroom house with spectacular views of the ocean. The house was comfortable and welcoming, and met the needs of our 9-10 member family. The favorite spot was the house-wide porch overlooking the ocean where everyone gathered many times a day. Sunset was a favorite time. We enjoyed the various dining spaces that met our large family's needs for breakfast, lunch or dinner, as well as the nicely furnished kitchen. The ocean breezes provided the air-conditioning, but we did use the fans provided from time to time. Some minor problems were corrected promptly by the caretaker.

We had previously stayed at On the Water in Maine's "Our Song" cottage, which provided a gourmet kitchen, included kayaks, as well as nicer amenities overall. However this cottage may not have had as nice amenities though the house was larger and more conducive to our family of six. I do feel this cottage was priced accordingly at a much lower rate than Our Song.

The property management team was very responsive and professional. We appreciated the detailed house information and directions that were sent to us.

We loved this house! The kitchen was a dream to work in. It was laid out so efficiently and extremely well-stocked with labels on the cabinets and drawers so things were easy to find. There are two sinks. There are two dishwashers in the kitchen and one in the bar. The refrigerator is huge -- we had no trouble fitting 4 family's worth of food in it. The seven bedrooms each with full sized bathrooms made it so easy for everyone in our big group to get ready in the mornings. The veranda with the view of the bay was a great place to hang out with plenty of comfortable seating. The heated pool was beautifully landscaped and there were restrooms right at the pool.

We've been guests of On the Water in Maine several times and have found consistently high quality in both the properties and the service. The staff has been friendly and helpful. We will definitely continue renting through OTWIM for years to come.

We loved our stay at the Seaside Cottage. The view of the harbor is spectacular and the location is great, being quite close to Rockland. The house is well appointed and comfortably furnished.

We had a great experience working with On the Water in Maine. Our questions and concerns were answered honestly and always in a timely manner. The professionalism of everyone I spoke to was impressive and helpful.

Magical comes to mind when we arrived at Becalmed. I was traveling with my immediate family, mother, stepfather, sister, brother-in-law and 8 year old niece. We felt at home immediately and were so excited to finally be in Maine on the lake.

They answered each of my laborious questions quickly helped me with the information I needed.

We appreciated the incredible attention to detail for all the things that we would possibly need during our stay. At the same time the house was not cluttered with knick knacks, making it effortless for us to move in with our belongings. The aesthetic sensibilities of the interior of the house was also noted and admired.

On the Water in Maine is seriously the only way to vacation. Courteous, responsive and they really go above and beyond to ensure that your stay is perfect.

As a return customer we can't say enough great things about this property! A secluded oasis with breathtaking water views that is only a 10 minute drive to town! The expansive windows allow you to take in the water from every view but the screened in porch is by far our favorite part!

Chestnut Cottage was all updated with some elements of the old house evident; such as the door bell, light switches, and of course the steep stairs! The updated suite over the garage was large and comfortable and afforded some quiet time for us grandparents.

This agency was terrific with regard to communication prior to as well as during our stay. I would definitely seek other rentals from this agency in the future.

We absolutely loved everything about this property. The house was situated in a quiet location on the back bay with gorgeous views of herons and Osprey diving for food. And the Boothbay area in itself was beautiful with many preserves and an amazing Botanical Gardens. A couple of highlights of our trip was taking a boat ride from the Botanical Gardens into the bay on a guided tour with boat captain Shawn and visiting the Alpaca Farm in South Port. In general this area was so friendly to travelers....thank you for the wonderful vacation experience!

Three generations of our family visited Lake Megunticook to celebrate several milestone birthdays. We had a fabulous week enjoying the home we rented, the flora and fauna of the lake and all the water activities, hiking nearby, the surrounding towns for excellent food, shopping, antiquing, crafts and fun experiences together. The house was perfect for us with ample space, perfect amenities and a warm, cozy environment for us to make lasting memories. We look forward to returning to Maine again!

Beautiful house and furnishings. Perfect for a real laid back vacation. Beautiful grounds. The only down side was we could not figure out the tide schedule for kayaking. We were not able to use the water feature of this property.
