On the Water in Maine is by FAR THE BEST rental agency we have ever worked with! We rent chalets, cottages or beach front homes every summer and/or fall, and this was our first time with On the Water in Maine. When you find someone on line, and are driving over 1000 miles to stay in a rental, you want to be sure you will have a "good" experience. Sometimes you are not sure what to expect when working with a new rental agency, but let me assure you, you will not find better communication or willingness to make your stay all you dreamed it would be than On The Water in Maine! The entire process from the on line reservation to check in and check out is streamlined and done with ease and fully explained through multiple emails, phone calls, and info when you get to your rental. If you take the few minutes to read the info they send you, you will know everything you need to know, and you will be assured you are working with a reliable rental agency! We would HIGHLY recommend On The Water in Maine as the BEST of the BEST when it comes to vacation rentals on the water in Maine!!! Not only will you have accurate photos of your rental (not deceptive ones like many would show), you will receive a list of equipment every rental will have so you know exactly how to pack! You will know how many towel sets, kitchen towels, soap dispensers.... everything! Just pack your food and clothes and you're ready to go! Honestly, I can't say enough good about our experience with On the Water in Maine!

We spent a delightful week at the Pine Cliff Cottage Compound in Southport ME. The cottage is absolutely charming and very comfortable and well equipped. The cottage is large enough to accommodate a large group, especially if the barn is also used, but the cottage was also very cozy for just my husband and I. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 of which have king sized beds, which I think is wonderful for a larger group or a couple of couples! The views are fabulous, and the master king sized bed was very comfortable, which is always important to me! The master, living room and kitchen all look right out on the water. There is also a screened in porch which we really enjoyed, and multiple decks and a dock. The kitchen is well equipped with far more tools than listed on the basic equipment list. The ONLY thing that might be a little less than desired are the frying pans. If you are health conscious and don't like to use scratched non-stick pans, you might want to bring your own frying pan, but all other pans and utensils were just fine. The Thermador stove was a treat to use, and the new heat system felt wonderful on those chilly evenings! I could not have asked for more than we found at the Pine Cliff Cottage Compound! Even my husband noted "it's going to be hard to top this one"! I couldn't agree more!!! - Comment from On the Water in Maine - Thanks for your great feedback! As you rented near the end of the season, it sounds like the non-stick frying pans are in need of replacing after a long, hard, summers' use. We will be doing exactly that for the 2015 season.

On the Water in Maine was very responsive to all questions. I needed help with the fireplace and accessing the combination lock to the house and got immediate help, in the evening, on a weekend. Great experience!

- Breathtaking view from the back porch - facing the water - throughout the day, especially the sunsets. The sunroom - adjacent to the back porch - served as an impromptu office and was just a great place to experience the view, the sounds of nature and the wonderful breeze coming across the inlet. - Great kitchen, lots of space for my foodie wife to cook up ssom delicious food - Beautiful property overall, tall trees, provide a nice secluded vacation home

This is our first time to work with On the Water in Maine, and our experience has been very positive. The one time that we needed assistance, Justin responded immediately and fixed the problem.

Our favorite feature of this cottage is its location on the water with a wonderful full view of the harbor.

This was our third time renting from On the Water in Maine. They are a great operation and make things easy for their renters. We look forward to our next booking with them!

This was our first time renting the White Pines property. It was a great house - very spacious and great accommodations.

The living room furniture could use some updating to something more comfortable but our stay was still very satisfactory.

On The Water in Maine has been consistently excellent. Everyone we've dealt with on staff has been helpful, upbeat and informed. The team could not be better.

We had yet another glorious two-week stay at Deep Cove, and really love both the house and property. It's truly comfortable, beautiful, spacious, private and just about perfect for us. While the kitchen is in excellent shape, and a pleasure to work in, there could be a better supply of some very basic kitchen items: one or two deep baking dishes, a potato masher, a garlic press, a metal steamer, etc. The utensils, dishes, glasses, plates, pots and pans are all in good supply and excellent shape.

On the Water in Maine is super easy to work with. Very responsive over the phone, and provides excellent rentals. The house was impeccably clean, well outfitted with any possible supplies we might need, and in excellent shape.

We LOVED staying at this house. The wheelbarrow was one of the unexpected highlights of the trip. We ended up giving our two toddlers daily wheelbarrow rides along the beach at low tide. We all enjoying kayaking right off our own private beach, going for walks along the shore at low tide and enjoying the views at high tide. This house is private and very quiet. The perfect retreat for adults, and a great place for kids with a few adjustments. (There is a bookcase of tools, toxic chemicals and other dangerous items near the front door that is difficult to block. We covered it with paper bags and the kids eventually forgot it was there. There are a lot of charming decorations that are also a bit fragile so we just had to be vigilant with such young toddlers. It was worth it though!) The proximity to Acadia and Belfast was perfect! Just enough to do, but none of the Camden congestion!

You guys are the best. You make everything so easy!

Hard to pick 1 favorite but we loved the location, were impressed by the cleanliness and there were absolutely no bugs! .

What a pleasure! From the start, the staff was so very helpful and patient in describing different properties and suggesting what our party would enjoy, given age and interests. I was never felt to be a 'pest' with any phone calls or questions I had. I had total confidence that our choice was going to be great~ the complete set of pictures we could view, was wonderful. On the Water In Maine is beyond professional. Everything is made clear and written out so there are no surprises.

It was all that was promised and more! The property was fantastic~ well equipped and very well-appointed, right down to a baby grand piano. The view off the deck was off a picture postcard. The location was perfect, secluded, but still convenient to Camden. We totally enjoyed Rockcroft.

You are the consummate professionals. As such, you are always cheerfully available and helpful. We arrived at Nokomis Cottage and it was spotlessly clean. Your have an exceptional cleaning staff.

The house is truly wonderful, well laid out, beautifully furnished, and very comfortable. The best features are the magnificent view from the inside, the fire-pit and the view from the Adirondack chairs surrounding the fire-pit, and the beach.

When we experienced a problem with the well, it was immediately fixed.

The property is absolutely beautiful! As a gardener I was enchanted with the vast array of flowers, hydrangeas, lovely deck and dock. The decorating is comfortable and pleasing to the senses. Kitchen supplied better than mine! I can't think of anything one might need that isn't there.

It was great. No problems at all.

We loved the location. Right on the water. Watching the lobster boats each morning was wonderful. The furnishing were beautiful. The gardens are amazing. Flowers blooming everywhere.

On the Water in Maine was especially helpful in accommodating all our needs with our rental. Their suggestion book on what to do in our area was excellent. We used some of their suggestion and found them enjoyable.

Our visit at Lincoln Lookout was delightful. The open sea views were the best in our ten years of visiting the coast of Maine. We enjoyed the convenience of the stairs to the shore below the cottage. The bed linens were especially nice.

EVERYONE we talked to was so nice and we really appreciated Justin coming out to check on us.

This property was perfect for our group of 5, giving us privacy and spacious living/ dining space for group activities. The location is perfect, within easy walking distance to downtown and the harbor The home is comfortable and well appointed and the kitchen was spacious. This property is actually a duplex and we rented the entire house, but it would easily accommodate two smaller groups with complete autonomy. I would recommend this location for those spending time along the central coast.

The staff of On The Water In Maine was helpful and responsive. Overall, our experience was very positive.

The Blue Heron cottage was a lovely, peaceful location to spend our two -week vacation in Maine. Every morning we were greeted by the view from the deck of water, sailing and lobster boats, and seagulls.........we even saw an eagle from the deck one morning!

Pleasant, easy, thorough.

Great dock and float. Beautiful swimming. Loved the deck (with comfy chaise loungers) overlooking the lake. House itself is very spacious and comfortable. We were two adult couples and one toddler and had more than enough room to spread out. But if you don't like or are allergic to dogs, this property probably isn't for you...the closest neighbors have dogs that regularly come onto the property.

Your agency was very friendly and very helpful.

The location was fantastic. We loved being right on the water with our own dock.
