We were extremely pleased with our interactions with the staff at On the Water, they were so helpful, accessible and pleasant. They went above and beyond our expectations to meet a request of ours during our stay. Your staff did assist us with an unusual request - a member of the family has a bad back and found the soft mattresses difficult to sleep on. A member of your team rented a firm mattress and had it delivered within the same day. We were thoroughly impressed and thankful. The excellent customer service will definitely lead us to renting from On the Water again in the future!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rosemoor, the house was spacious, comfortable and perfectly situated overlooking breathtaking water views.

The view from the back deck was spectacular. Our children loved playing on the rocks near the shore. The house was beautiful and very comfortable for all of us.

The rental property was beautiful. The inside exceeded our expectations. Well maintained, quiet, and well stocked. Only suggestion would be for an easier access to the pond, such as stairs down from the deck. We also would have enjoyed ceiling fans in the bedrooms.

I have worked with On the Water in Maine Inc and have found them user friendly, available, helpful and accommodating. I have rented 3 times now with them, mainly because they offer rentals that allow dogs. The properties have been a bit more pricier (obviously, due to the dog) but these properties have been some of my favorites after 10+ years of renting in Bayside.

I enjoyed Hillcrest cottage very much. It was roomy, homey and well stocked with everything we needed. It has the Bayside charm but also laundry and two full baths and beds for 7. The front sitting porch is one of my favorites in Bayside. Ample and comfortable seating for reading,socializing and watching the foot traffic. Hillcrest is central and close to the parks, beach and wharf.

On the Water in Maine was professional in every aspect of the rental process. Very helpful to receive the e-mails with the all the necessary information and requests for materials from us. If I had a home in Maine (will have some day) I would use On the Water in Maine to manage the rental process if I wanted to rent it out. They seemed very protective of the homeowners property.

Perfect location for someone looking for a quiet vacation with a beautiful view from the house and deck. Watching the tide rise and fall is hypnotic. Nice sized kitchen with all necessary appliances. Loved the great room with the fireplace. Yes, we used it in August, because even though the days were warm and sunny the nights cool off considerably. Walked every morning on the smooth dirt road that encircled the island. Just about 2 miles per lap.

On the Water in Maine is always excellent. We have never had a negative experience. We have been working with them for 4 years now and the level of customer service is awesome. They make us feel "at home" because they know us. Ben stops by to say hello and that is always welcome.

LUV cottage is a family tradition for us. It has mod-cons and also has old time charm. The best things about being here are being with family and enjoying P-Bay.

On the Water in Maine is a great company! I cannot say enough good things about Justin and his team working hard to make us as comfortable as possible and being incredibly responsive. We started out by being locked out when we got here because of confusion over which key fit which lock, but that was very quickly remedied when we called. Then as we explored the house, we noticed all sorts of deficiencies compared to the "required to have" list for each property. No coffee filters, no fans in the bedrooms, no grilling utensils, no outside garbage cans, etc. When we called Justin, he was immediately on it and we had everything we asked for that first day. (We subsequently found a few other kitchen things missing, but either bought them ourselves or went without.)

My feeling about the cottage went from about 2 to 7 (scale of 10) during the two weeks we stayed here. I'm think I'm sincerely going to miss the old place. The setting is very nice and private -- right on the St. George river. Be aware that the St. George is a tidal river, with the water being as much as 1/4 mile away (with mud flats in between) to up to the edge of the property. It was quite interesting to see the tides change, watch the clammers at low tide, and sit by the water at high tide. The exterior of the cottage is lovely -- the work of an artist. The interior ... well, let's just say it's quirky. Two separate sitting rooms, an upstairs loft bedroom with a chimney coming up through the middle of the room, no door on the upstairs bathroom (there's a fabric covered folding screen), and a shower that opens onto the bedroom (that's right, it's in the bedroom, not the bathroom!). The "kitchen like" space means there is only about 2 feet of counter space, a huge sink that is not really practical, and the dishwasher and some of the dishes are in a closet in the hallway. The kitchen is really not well stocked. Bring your own knives (which I luckily did) unless you can be satisfied with two old rusty kitchen knives. We ended up buying a plastic cutting board, a 3-bowl set and a colander. In the middle of the larger downstairs bedroom there's a floor to ceiling wooden post (watch yourself at night). No window treatments on any of the windows, so hope you're an early riser. All that said, we did adapt, even when we were joined by two friends the second week, we worked things out just fine.

The many communications we received gave us confidence that all arrangements for our stay were on track. We have rented through On the Water in Maine several times. Each experience has been better than the last.

On the Water in Maine was very professional and thorough, and we loved their insider recommendations for what to do in the area. We asked where to buy lobster and got a great tip to go find Mike Hutchings barn -- something we never would have found on our own.

The property was extremely well appointed and decorated in a beautiful quintessential Maine style. It was a great home base for the week.

Emails were timely and directions were clear and helpful. The property listing was complete and accurate. Everyone on staff that I dealt with was friendly and professional. Even minor issues (a missing light bulb, missing flashlight) were taken care of quickly.
